Don't Cry For Me. Exactly 30 years later he won the Shamus for Best Paperback P.I. novel for
The Cana Diversion. A year after that the Private Eye Writers of America gave him the Eye for lifetime achievement. His most famous character was Brock Callahan, football player turned Beverly Hills private eye.
