4/7/1992 Seneca Falls Inheritance comes due

April 7, 1992.  This was the publication date for Miriam Grace Monfredo's first novel, Seneca Falls Inheritance.  It was set just before the Womens Rights Convention in 1848 and featured appearances by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, among other historical characters.  It also introduced her series character, librarian Glynis Tryon. 

2/11/1995 Blackwater Spirits rise

February 11, 1995.  Miriam Grace Monfredo's third historical mystery was published on this date.  Blackwater Spirits featured Glynis Tryon, 19th-century librarian in Seneca Falls, NY, in a case involving a poisoned farmer and Native Americans.  Kirkus Reviews said: "More densely imagined, satisfying historical fare whose proto-feminist spin feels just right."

8/17/1993 North Star Conspiracy brought to light

August 17, 1993.  This date saw the publication of North Star Conspiracy,  the second novel in Miriam Grace Monfredo's historical mystery series about librarian Glynis Tryon, who lives in Seneca Falls, New York, before the Civil War.  This one involves the underground Railroad.

Kirkus Reviews said: "Stimulating fare (despite a subplot or two too many) that effectively parallels the powerlessness of slaves and women--the disenfranchised--building to a dramatic courtroom sequence."
