9/11/1928 William X. Kienzle is born

September 11, 1928.  William X. Kienzle was born on this date in Detroit Michigan.  He became a Catholic priest in 1954.  He left the order 20 years later but used his vocation as the basis for a series of mystery novels starring Father Robert Koesler. His first book, The Rosary Murders, was made into a movie starring Donald Sutherland.
