9/8/1952 Rocky King takes a sick day

September 8, 1952.  I had never heard of Rocky King, Detective until a few weeks ago when Leigh Lundin started writing about it on SleuthSayers.  This is very early television, on the Dupont Network (which I am sure many of you have never heard of).  In fact, when I categorized this entry I originally put it under radio.

The show was done live, so when the star, Roscoe Karns, was too sick to perform, the episode was rewritten.  Inspector King was declared ill and his assistant Sergeant Lane handled "One Minute For Murder" without him.  You can watch all five available episodes through the SleuthSayers page.
