November 23, 2007. A remake of the movie
Sleuth, based on Anthony Shaffer's hit play, opened on this day. The original film (1972) starred Lawrence Olivier as an aging mystery writer and Michael Caine as his wife's lover. In the remake Caine graduated to the older role and Jude Law took over the younger.
